Yesterday evening a friend of mine was in a single vehicle rollover, was ejected and pinned under the truck. She was conscious when the first responders arrived but without feeling to her legs. They flew her to the hospital and discovered that she has a broken back, and possibly some bleeding in her head and bruised lungs. As of now she is about to go into surgery. Please be praying for a miracle. She is an active, horseback riding seventeen-year-old who loves the Lord. This accident has a very real possibility to devastate her plans for life. Please join me in coming to the throne of Christ on behalf of my friend. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteOh wow! Praying for peace and comfort!!! <3 *hugs*
ReplyDeleteKeep us updated, please. I'll be thinking and praying.
ReplyDeleteI'll do that. Thank you!
DeleteAny updates on this? (I just remembered about your blog today, from scrolling through the list of comments on my own blog back a good while, and I went back all the way here to about the time that I stopped commenting. I guess my first 18 credit semester--fall of 2017--really hurt my blog-reading.)
DeleteThank you so much for asking. :) Her progress has been extremely slow, but she is continuing to make progress the doctors had said would be impossible. Just recently she was able to stand (with help) and lift her foot several inches for the first time. We are praising God for each "step" she takes in a positive direction. Our God is a God of miracles!
DeleteHe certainly is. I’ve had multiple medical miracles in my own family. I’ll be praying for further healing.
DeleteThank you, Patrick! :)
DeleteOh my, I'm so sorry! Praying for a miracle!
ReplyDeleteThank you! That's what we need!
DeleteUPDATE ON MY FRIEND: Her surgery went about as well as the doctors hoped. Though she still has no feeling below the break, she does have feeling one inch lower. She starts therapy in a few days. Keep praying for a miracle! Thank you all!
ReplyDeleteThanks for updating us! Still praying. <33
DeleteI'm praying Bethany, how is she now?
ReplyDeleteThank you! She is continuing to improve, though she is still paralyzed below the point of the break. She continues to attend therapy and has gained feeling slightly further down. I've gotten to see her several times since the accident and her spirits are miraculously good all things considered. She is learning how to do many things differently, but she has lots of support and is making progress. Please keep up those prayers! I still believe that God will heal her completely!
