Hallelujah!
I'm so excited! About a year and a half ago, I started reading
through the New Testament. I slowly chugged along for about a year
until Christmastime when I really buckled down. At that time I was in the
Gospel of John. Just this morning, I finished Revelation! Reading
through the gospels, I was blessed to learn more detail about the
life of Jesus and how much he endured on the cross to save us from
our sin. It was truly amazing to read through what Paul was writing
to all the churches while he was in prison and how he persevered.
Revelation was a bit confusing. It was a bit foreign to me but at the
same time it was amazing to read about the end times and the future. This left such a confused impression on me that I had a weird dream
last night about the end times.
This
morning I had six chapters left and I was planning on reading three
this morning and two tomorrow but when I was done with the first
three I was so excited for finishing that I just read the remaining
three chapters. I want to encourage everyone who is reading this to
read the Bible, or even just the New Testament at first, all the way.
It is really worth it and it can be done no matter your age.
Old
Testament and rereading the New Testament, here I come!
I am so proud of you, Bethany! God will honor your honoring Him and His Word. He promises! You make your Daddy proud, and of course you bless your Father in Heaven!
ReplyDeleteThank you, dad. It is such a great feeling of joy to know that I have completed it!
DeleteThat is really exciting!!! Good for you. I've read many books, but haven't finished either of the testaments in order. Yet!
ReplyDeleteGod Bless,
~Mary =D
It really is such a feeling of satisfaction to know that I finished! You can do it! Even if it's really hard!
DeleteThat's great Bethany. There is such a feeling of satisfaction when you know you've finished, and its even more satisfying knowing it's something that pleases God so much!
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
Exactly! You described my heart perfectly! Thanks for commenting!
DeleteWow that is soooo cool:) I started to read through the whole Bible but i didn't make it:(
ReplyDeleteAnna
You will get there! It just takes perseverance.
DeleteI'm currently reading through "The Daily Bible." It's a very good chronological Bible, very easy to understand, and it is separated into daily chunks that are between 3 to 7 pages a day. I highly recommend it!
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking lately about possibly doing a chronological read so I will look into this. Thank you!
